Rolex Swan European Regatta
Nautor’s Swan hosted the bi-annual Swan European Regatta in Cowes in the Summer and appointed Mainsail to be responsible for the entire onshore logistics, catering and event management both for the ClubSwan members and VIP's, and for the hundreds of competitors that took part.
For the five-day event, Mainsail created an exclusive and sophisticated race village within Cowes Yacht Haven, which consisted of: The ClubSwan reception and registration centre,
20m x 16m sundeck, site spaces for sponsors and supporting partners, beer tent and a delicious outdoor BBQ with fresh homemade ingredients.
Throughout the week, Mainsail ensured that the race village ran smoothly but also planned and hosted four separate events for Nautor’s Swan and their sponsors;
Talisker Whisky Tasting: An invite only whisky tasting was arranged for 300 guests on behalf of Talisker Malt Whisky. Scottish themed mouth-watering canapés were handed around the guests whilst they ‘nosed’ their way through several delicious tasters.
Talisker Crew Party: Within the race village a Scottish themed party was taking place with tartan and lavender garnishing every available surface! Mainsail catered for the 600 hungry crew members serving up hot mutton pies with delicious salads followed by cranachan dessert! With folk music filling the yacht haven, the atmosphere was incredible and a great time was had by all.
